Warm & Well In North Yorkshire - Here to Help!
As the weather turns for Autumn and Winter, we have been cued to this partner initiative by our colleagues at "Warm & Well in North Yorkshire", based in Northallerton.
Their aim is to raise awareness of the impact of cold homes on our health and wellbeing, offer practical solutions to reduce fuel poverty, and support people and communities to stay warm and well in winter.
There is a range of help on offer including home visits, energy advice, installation of efficiency measures and minor home repairs, as well as financial and debt advice to help people stay warm in the winter. All of the support offered through Warm & Well in North Yorkshire is completely FREE.
This project focuses on households where there are:
• People on low incomes or benefits (including state pension)
• Anyone with physical or mental health issues
• Families with young children.
Referrals can be made into the project if someone is living in or at risk of a cold home or fuel poverty, struggling to afford their energy bills, or worried about winter. These can be made by professionals and by individuals themselves. If you would like us to help with a referral for you or someone you know, please message us - or to make a referral yourself, please follow the link HERE.
