Welcome to Romanby Remembers


The Romanby War Memorial and Garden are at the centre of Romanby village in North Yorkshire. As part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of WW1, Romanby Parish Council has carried out a full refurbishment of the Village War Memorial Clock Tower, and made improvements to the open space to create  tranquil memorial garden area that can be accessed and enjoyed by ALL members of our community, both young and old, able-bodied and otherwise.

THE ROMANBY MEMORIAL CLOCK TOWER CENTENARY – 2027

As we now work on the third and final phase of the Romanby Memorial Clock Tower restoration this year (2026), which will see the full refurbishment of the 99-year old clock mechanism and clock faces, as well as work to restore the paths in the Memorial Garden, we are letting everyone know WELL in advance (!) that we will be having a series of community events in 2027 to mark the centenary of our landmark memorial and gardens.
